Half-Term Reminder: Keep It Safe, Keep It Respectful

Half-Term Reminder: Keep It Safe, Keep It Respectful

With half-term just around the corner, Staffordshire Police would like to remind young people across our villages to enjoy their time off responsibly and to be mindful of the impact their behaviour can have on others.

• Gathering in large groups and causing intimidation

• Vandalism, graffiti or criminal damage

• Throwing objects, setting fires or misusing fireworks

• Trespassing on private land

• Excessive noise, nuisance vehicles or disorderly behaviour

While most young people enjoy their holidays responsibly, those involved in ASB may face consequences such as:

👮 Being spoken to by police and having details recorded

📋 Parents or guardians being informed

⚠️ Community Protection Warnings or Notices being issued

🚓 Seizure of bicycles, e-scooters or other items being used anti-socially

📑 Criminal offences being investigated where appropriate, potentially resulting in prosecution.

We encourage all young people to respect their local community, residents, businesses and public spaces during the school break.

✅ Enjoy time with friends

✅ Use parks and recreational areas responsibly

✅ Respect private property

✅ Think about how your actions affect others

Let's work together to make this half-term enjoyable for everyone and keep our communities safe.
